Classroom Spotlight: Mrs. Sanchez's Class

This week, we began our thankful week. Thank you to all our families for your partnership in participating in our Family Feather Project. The children were so excited to show off their creativity and share what they are thankful for this season.

In our learning areas, we created turkey drawings, examined a real turkey feather, and even went on a turkey scavenger hunt. This thankful week reminded us how much we have to be grateful for in our classroom community.

Next Tuesday, we’ll celebrate the start of Thanksgiving break with a cozy Pajama Day. Please wear your pajamas to school on Tuesday, November 25th

Welcome to Ms. Moreno

I would like to welcome Ms. Lia Moreno to the Early Childhood Center. Ms. Moreno is will be filling in as the secretary at the ECC while Ms. Canchola is out on a leave. Please join me in welcoming Ms. Moreno to the ECC family.

No Newsletter Next Week

There will be no Junior Bulldogs Newsletter next week because it is a short week.

Dress for the Weather

As the weather continues to change, please be sure to dress your child appropriately for the conditions. We will continue to go outside for gross motor activities, weather permitting.

To help your child stay comfortable and safe outdoors, please send them to school with:

  • A warm jacket or coat
  • Hat and gloves/mittens
  • Extra layers for colder mornings

If you would like to change out your summer extra clothes that stay at school for warmer ones, please send us a pair of pants, a long-sleeve shirt, and socks.

Please also make sure to label all clothing and personal items with your child’s name to help prevent them from getting lost or mixed up with others.

Car Seats

Please have your child in the right car seat for your child's age, height, and weight in your vehicle when you drop-off or pick-up your child from school.

The Child Passenger Protection Act requires that all children under age 8 be properly secured in an appropriate child safety restraint system.

Children ages 2 to 4 should remain in a rear-facing safety seat for as long as possible, or until they are at the upper height or weight limit of the seat. When a child out- grows a rear-facing safety seat, he or she may transition to a forward-facing seat with a harness system.

Children ages 4-8 should be secured in a forward-facing safety seat with an internal harness system until they reach the upper height or weight limit allowed by the car seat manufacturer. When a child outgrows the forward-facing seat, he or she may transition to a belt-positioning booster seat.

For more information about child passenger safety requirements, please click HERE.

If you need help obtaining the appropriate car seat for your child(ren), please contact your child's teacher, and our team will work to connect you with resources that can help.

Vehicle Hang Tag Reminder and Replacement
As we welcome a new faculty member to our team, we kindly request that you display your current vehicle hang tag in your car for identification purposes.

If you require a replacement hang tag, please contact the main office, and we will be happy to provide one for you. Thank you for your cooperation.
