Programs

Our classes at the Early Childhood Center (ECC) are two and a half hours long, five days per week.  We have general education spots available for students ages 3-5, but families will need to pay a registration fee and monthly tuition.  Reduced tuition rates are available for students whose families complete the Federal Household Eligibility Application and qualify for free or reduced lunch. 

We are proud to be a recipient of the Preschool for All grant, which is a state-funded grant program that provides free, high quality educational experiences and instruction to our preschoolers with the most needs.  Families must participate in an interview to determine the amount of need and must submit proof of income.  We currently have 65 spots for students in our PFA program.

Students between the ages of 3-5 who qualify for special education services and require specialized instruction from a special education teacher can attend the ECC at no cost to families.  Special education placements are based on individual student needs and are determined at the Individual Educational Plan (IEP) meeting as determined by the IEP team.  We have six general education, preschool classrooms that are taught by a dually certified early childhood teacher and special education teacher.  These classes can have up to 20 students per class, and no more than 30% of the students can have IEPs.  We also have six self-contained, special education classrooms taught by a dually certified early childhood teacher and special education teacher.  These classes can have up to 10 students per class, and all of the students in these classes have IEPs.  Related services (speech and language services, social work services, occupational therapy, etc.) are typically provided to students in their classrooms as determined by the students IEP team.

Most of our early childhood teachers also have their English as a Second Language endorsement and are able to provide ESL services to our multilingual students who qualify for services.
